Our Lady Help of Christian’s CCD program is open to all youth of the parish who are entering grades 7 and 8 only and starts September 15, 2021. Classes are on Wednesday evenings at 6PM in the Chapel (enter through main Church doors). Please note – Grades 1 through 6 are to attend the CCD Program at St. Elizabeth’s in Whitehall. Click HERE for the registration packet.

Please note a couple things: 1) You should be a registered parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians, but you do not need to be (many parishes require this).  2) You need to bring your child/children to Mass every Sunday.

The Diocese of Allentown requires each child to have two years of religious education prior to receiving a sacrament.

Thank you for allowing us to teach your children about God and help them grow in knowledge and love for Christ.  God bless you and your family!

What Is CCD?

The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine was an association established at Rome in 1562 for the purpose of providing religious education. Today CCD refers to a religious education program of the Catholic Church, normally designed for children.

OLHC CCD Program – Grades 7th and 8th

Our Lady Help of Christians accepts children who attend public school who want to receive their Faith Formation through our parish CCD program, which consists of class study and preparation for the reception of the sacraments. The goal of the parish CCD program is to enable and encourage the students to learn more about their faith.

The mission of OLHC’s Religious Education Program is to deepen in our children their awareness and understanding of God’s loving presence in their lives and to strengthen in them the Christian message of justice and love.
